After seeing the ad, I was really tempted to buy it and see what it's like. If you can't control your spending, you'll just have to endure it.

I didn't expect that this morning, after reading the original post titled “How do I work three hours in a one-hour work — WOODSUM wood film camera blood and tear assembly experience,” many worthy friends encouraged me. This time, they helped me make up my mind. Not only did I place the order, but I also contacted customer service and asked for a rush delivery (this is Beijing delivery, so I coordinated with the local team). At the time, I was so anxious to get it as soon as possible.

At noon, I received the package. Just during lunch break, I couldn’t wait to open it:

The seller paid a lot of attention to details — a bunch of "wood" were sent quickly, which turned out to be airbag protection and a sturdy cardboard box.

Just like the wooden camera, the quality of the wood is impressive. The cuts are precise, and the material used for the screen looks good (though I’m not sure what it is). In total, there are seven wooden boards marked with AGs, and each component is numbered again. Each part is labeled clearly with A1, B2, etc., making it easy for beginners to understand. The assembly instructions are also well-organized and straightforward.

Although there are seven pieces of wood, looking at the images, each piece has very few components. It seems like it should be easy to assemble. I was eager to start assembling after work in the evening. To be honest, I originally wanted to assemble it to help my friend “Lou Lei” and also enjoy the process of building a wooden camera. I planned to find some tricky areas to warn other value friends, but this model had too few parts and was too simple. I finished it in just half an hour. It’s not that I don’t like building models, but it was really too easy.

Although it was relatively easy, the assembly was still exciting. I took full-scale shots of the whole thing and tried to show every detail clearly.

It's really clear what I can see. It feels meaningful.

After assembling this brand of wooden retro cameras and TVs, here are my experiences:

1. The quality of the brand is excellent, with fine craftsmanship;

2. Few components, simple assembly, suitable for children and beginners;

3. High-quality, retro style, great for home decoration;

4. Wooden rivets bite, can be disassembled and reassembled, demonstrating the principle of the object, fun and educational, ideal for kids as gifts.

Everything has two sides, and it may not suit everyone:

1. No difficulty, not suitable for those who love challenging puzzles;

2. Unlike Ugears, the fit is a bit loose, which might be intentional for easier disassembly, but I personally prefer tighter joints;

3. Price is affordable, and similar deals are available.
