For the NPN output incremental encoder model E6B2-CWZ6C, the brown wire should be connected to the positive terminal of the power supply, while the blue wire connects to the negative terminal. The black wire is connected to input point 0.00, the white wire to 0.01, and the orange wire to 0.04. The PLC’s COM terminal should be linked to the positive side of the power supply. Refer to Figure 1 for the wiring principle and Figure 2 for the actual wiring layout.

In contrast, the PNP output incremental encoder model E6B2-CWZ6B follows a slightly different configuration. The brown wire connects to the positive power supply, the blue wire to the negative, and the black, white, and orange wires connect to inputs 0.00, 0.01, and 0.04 respectively. In this case, the PLC’s COM terminal should be connected to the negative power supply. This setup ensures proper signal transmission with the PLC.

For the NPN output absolute encoder model E6C3-AG5C, the red wire is connected to the positive power supply, and the black wire to the negative. The remaining color-coded wires—brown, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, gray, white, and pink—connect to input points 0.00 through 0.08 respectively. The PLC’s COM terminal must also be connected to the positive power supply in this configuration. These connections allow the encoder to communicate precise position data to the PLC.

The PNP output absolute encoder model E6C3-AG5B shares a similar wiring pattern but with a key difference in the COM connection. The red wire connects to the positive power supply, the black wire to the negative, and the rest of the color-coded wires (brown, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, gray, white, and pink) go to input points 0.00 through 0.08. Here, the PLC’s COM terminal is connected to the negative power supply instead of the positive. This setup is ideal for systems that require a PNP output configuration.

Finally, for the line drive encoder, the wiring is slightly more complex. The black wire connects to A0+, while the black and red wires are connected to A0-. Similarly, the white wire goes to B0+, and the white and red wires connect to B0-. The orange wire is connected to Z0+, and the orange-red wire connects to Z0-. The brown wire is linked to +5V, and the blue wire to 0V. All connections should be double-checked to avoid any errors during installation.
