According to experts from the Beibei District Street Lamp Management Institute, the LED lamp is a new type of light source that has the advantages of environmental protection, energy saving, high luminous efficiency and long service life. After Beipu District introduces a company that specializes in the production of new LED light sources, it first conducts trials in its jurisdiction. Today, Beibei District, on the basis of trials of successful LED street lights, decided to retrofit or refit all the street lights in the district with this new light source.
The newly installed and reconstructed LED street lights involved 12 towns and new urban areas such as Jindaoxia, Chengjiang, and land and water in Beibei District, of which 5192 were built and 541 were rebuilt. The entire project will be completed in mid-January 2013.
"After the completion of the entire project, nearly 20,000 LED new light source lamps will cover all urban and rural areas in Beibei.
