GE doesn't want your home's lights to keep you awake at night, so it has released a new light bulb that adjusts the color temperature for a day. This new product name is C Sleep, which automatically changes the color temperature based on the time of day and night. It has three settings: a bright blue that wakes up the user in the morning, a standard orange tone illumination at noon, and a soft yellow illumination at night. GE hopes to make it easier for users to fall asleep and get up by matching the indoor lighting of the user to the actual outdoor lighting.

Another product that GE released today is C Life, which only offers a noon lighting tone. Both C Sleep and C Life can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Users can turn the light bulb on/off or adjust the brightness of the light bulb through a special app in the smartphone. The app is available in iOS and Android versions. Since these two products use Bluetooth for communication, users cannot control outdoors, and users must control within Bluetooth.

GE hopes to use these two smart light bulbs as the first step into the smart home world. GE currently bundles these two smart light bulbs. One "starter pack" contains two C Sleep and two C Life smart light bulbs.
