Introduction

In response to the requirements of the Ministry of Communications "JT/T 529-2004 Plastic Corrugated Pipe for Prestressed Concrete Bridges," our company, in collaboration with technical staff from the Transportation Research Institute, has developed and manufactured new testing instruments. These tools are designed to meet the needs of construction companies, including waterproof sheet airtightness detectors and other related equipment.

This instrument is specifically used for conducting flexibility tests on plastic corrugated pipes used in prestressed concrete bridges. It fully complies with the specifications outlined in the Ministry of Communications' "JT/T 529-2004 Plastic Corrugated Pipe for Prestressed Concrete Bridges."

Our company, together with the technical team from the Transportation Research Institute, has jointly developed and produced this advanced testing equipment.

Structural Principle

The instrument is composed of a sturdy frame, a curved support mechanism, and a standard feeler gauge. This design ensures accurate and reliable testing of the flexibility of the tubes under various conditions.

1. Measuring bellows specifications: 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, 90mm, 100mm, 115mm, 130mm.

2. Bending radius: 1500mm and 1800mm.

3. Adjustment range of the bending support mechanism: 50–100mm for R1500 and 100–150mm for R1800.

4. Test piece length: 1100mm.

Test Method

A 1100mm-long sample is fixed vertically on the testing platform, and two curved templates are installed as shown in the diagram. The arc radius should meet the specified standards. Within a 900mm range above the sample, the tube is manually bent to the position of the curved template and then bent back and forth five times to evaluate its flexibility.
