Introduction

To meet the requirements of the Ministry of Communications "JT/T 529-2004 Plastic Corrugated Pipe for Prestressed Concrete Bridges," our company, in collaboration with technical staff from the Transportation Research Institute, has developed and produced new testing instruments. These tools are designed to support construction companies in their quality control processes, including waterproof sheet airtightness detectors and other related equipment.

This instrument is specifically used for testing the flexibility of plastic corrugated pipes used in prestressed concrete bridges, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Ministry of Communications.

Our company, together with the technical team from the Transportation Research Institute, has developed and manufactured these advanced testing devices to ensure accurate and reliable performance in field applications.

Structural Principle

The device consists of a sturdy frame, a curved support mechanism, and a standard feeler gauge. This combination allows for precise and repeatable testing of tube flexibility under controlled conditions.

Main Specifications:

1. Measuring bellows specifications: 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, 90mm, 100mm, 115mm, 130mm.

2. Bending radius: 1500mm and 1800mm.

3. The adjustable range of the bending support mechanism is 50–100mm for R1500 and 100–150mm for R1800.

4. Test piece length: 1100mm.

Test Method

A 1100mm long sample is fixed vertically on the test platform, and two curved templates are installed as shown in the diagram. The arc radius should match the specified values. Within the 900mm range above the sample, the tube is manually bent sideways to the position of the curved template and then bent back and forth five times to assess its flexibility and structural integrity.
