**Foreword:**
Xplay is the flagship model of vivo. Even though it's been around for a while, I've always had a soft spot for it, especially because of its HIFI features and quad screens. However, I felt that the price/performance ratio at 4500 was not great, so I never went ahead and bought it.
During Double Eleven, I stumbled upon a special deal on my aunt's blog. She had a 8.5% discount voucher, but I couldn't find anything suitable to buy. I envied the students who got 50% off coupons.
Then my heart started itching—because after applying the discount, the final price was just 3,000 less than the original, which was extremely tempting. It was even lower than the original price by 1,500!
After spending several hours reading articles and checking out reviews from Zhang Aunt, I finally placed an order in the last 10 minutes of November 11th.
**Order Screenshot:**

The final price was 2956 yuan, and there were also many gifts included.
I started waiting for the delivery with high hopes. Every day, I checked the tracking status: "Purchasing from suppliers..."
This order became my longest wait on JD. I had to wait until my patience ran out, and even then, there were still no orders for Cat International.
A week later, the courier finally arrived.
**Unboxing Session:**
[Image 3]
The packaging came with a Jingdong plastic seal, which felt a bit strange. I worried it might be used.
After opening the package, I saw no signs of tampering. The phone was neatly placed inside the box.
The front screen looked dark and bright. Vivoxplay6 has other colors, but this one was only available during the promotion.
When I took the phone out, the grip on the edges was very comfortable.
It came with a factory film. The quality was good and fit well with the curved screen.
I was worried about the film, but it turned out to be factory-installed. This should be considered a bonus. Since it was my first vivo phone, I wasn’t sure if other models were the same.
From this angle, you can see the four rounded corners are sleek.
Behind the dual camera, the main camera is slightly raised.
The primary and secondary cameras and flash are aligned vertically, giving a slight gradient effect.
Body thickness: 8.25 mm
Body weight: 178 g
Although it’s not super thin or light, it’s within an acceptable range.
When I opened the box, I found there were two back covers included.
One is a black matte back cover with a soft feel and a pale gray vivo logo. The other is a transparent silicone back cover.
The transparent silicone cover is light, but I know it will turn yellow over time. So I decided to go with the black one.
The official accessories fit perfectly.
I just want to say that the film is well-attached, and the kit is well-equipped. I think it’s a good job by the accessory manufacturers.
Even though I think it's good, I don’t need to throw it around.
If disconnected:
The first impression was that the visual effects of the quad screen were really good. At first glance, it gave a fresh feeling.
The edges are too rounded and comfortable to touch.
The screen color saturation is high, and at first glance, it looks like a heavy tone. This depends on personal preference.
**Annex:**
Let’s take a look at the accessories:
The battery capacity of the vivoxplay6 is 4080 mAh.
Although it supports 9V/2A fast charging, the port is still the old microUSB. If it were Type-C, it would have been better.
The included headphones allow you to enjoy music freely. If you're into HiFi, you might need to upgrade.
**Giveaways:**
This order surprisingly included a lot of gifts. I thought there wouldn’t be any, but the phone itself was already a great value.
The key thing is that some of the gifts were strange and inexplicable. Let’s take a look together:
iQiyi kiwifruit, with a month of VIP membership. Not useful for me, I was planning to return it.
5000 mAh Scud for vivo custom mobile power. The size and capacity were a bit underwhelming.
Selfie stick, optional gift.
Next one is blinking:
Humanoid licensing...
Hmm... what should I do? To be honest, it’s good to work. I bought xplay6 and got an x20 stand-up card to “light up my beauty.â€
[Image 29]
**Use Experience:**
Normal boot experience, fingerprint entry, and quick boot. The main button is in the middle.
UI design feels very similar to iOS, with a flat and simple style.
The icon design is also similar. If you switch from iOS, you’ll feel more familiar with the visuals.
The screen is the highlight of the appearance: 5.46 inches
Resolution: 2560 × 1440 (2K)
Screen material: Super AMOLED
Supplier: Samsung
At first, I didn’t notice the 2K screen, but later realized that the detail wasn’t as sharp. After checking the configuration, I found that both Full HD and 2K options are available.
It’s unclear why the average user would choose 2K, but the experience is totally different. Later, I thought this might be designed to save power when the battery is low.
Another advantage of the curved screen is the comfort when swiping from the edge to the center.
The system has a practical curved side screen function:
Observe the white bar on the edge of the screen. When you swipe, the app selection page appears.
This function cannot be screenshot. Everyone knows you can add frequently used apps to it. The thumb slides gently along the curved screen to open it.
It feels more comfortable than the pull-up menu.
Then I quickly tried the HiFi playback mode. I played a few lossless tracks.
Although I’m not sure if it’s truly lossless, the sound quality improved a lot in HiFi mode.
Vivoxplay6 has three OPA1622 op amps, and the sound quality is indeed impressive.
Additionally, the HiFi function needs to be enabled in the settings. This is important, and it only works in headset mode.
The mobile KTV function has also been optimized for the K song app. The low-latency earback makes the sound keep up with the beat. Before recording, the sound position needs to be adjusted, as it often feels slower.
**About the Lens Effect:**
Front camera: 16 million pixels
Aperture: f/2.0
Rear cameras: 5 million and 12 million pixels respectively
Support Modes: Auto Focus; Image Stabilization; Beauty; Continuous Shooting; Macro; Panorama; Scene Mode; HDR
When I got the phone, I went out and took some pictures. The rear camera worked well.
Resolution and color reproduction were almost as expected.
HDR mode makes the picture sharper.
Anti-shake makes indoor shooting easier.
Color reproduction is more accurate, but here we have to mention that the screen color is a bit overdone. The red in the image below is closer to reality.
However, after watching the screen, I felt the saturation was about 2 degrees higher than normal. The iPhone 7’s screen is obviously much lighter.
But as I said before, color preference is like radish and greens — it depends on taste.
Here are some proofs:
On the camera: the dual camera blur effect isn’t particularly good. The edge processing isn’t very delicate, but it’s still playable.
**To Sum Up:**
Finally, to summarize my experience these days:
**Advantages:**
1. The quad curved screen is amazing, offering a great visual and tactile experience.
2. 6G RAM + 128G storage runs smoothly, with almost no lag.
3. The HIFI effect is outstanding — definitely worth at least 1000.
**Disadvantages:**
1. The Snapdragon 820 feels a bit uncomfortable compared to newer chips.
2. Lack of Type-C is a bit outdated.
3. No NFC.
Overall, the usage experience is very good, with no obvious weaknesses. It feels smooth in hand.
Even though I usually avoid buying older models, the price under 3,000 makes it feel like a great value.
