**Foreword:**
Xplay is the flagship model of vivo. Even though it has been on the market for a while, it's always caught my attention, especially because of its HIFI features and quad curved screens. However, I've always felt that the price-to-performance ratio at 4500 yuan wasn't great, so I never considered buying it.
Then, during Double 11, I came across a special deal on my aunt’s page. She had a voucher that cut 8.5%, but I still couldn’t find anything worth buying. I envied the students who got 50% off coupons.
My heart started to itch—only 3000 less than the original price, which was too tempting. It was even cheaper than the original price by 1500! After spending several hours researching (including reading many articles from Zhang Aunt), I finally placed the order in the last 10 minutes of the 11th.

The final price was 2956 yuan, and there were also a lot of gifts included.
I then started waiting for the delivery with high expectations. Every day, I checked the tracking info: "Purchased from supplier...". This order became the longest one I’ve ever waited for on JD. I was almost ready to give up, even though I hadn’t received any orders from Cat International yet.
A week later, the courier finally arrived!
**Unboxing Session:**
The packaging came with a Jingdong plastic seal, which felt a bit strange. I was worried whether it was used or not.
After opening the package, I found no signs of tampering. The phone was neatly placed inside the box.
The front screen looked dark and bright. Vivoxplay6 comes in other colors, but this one was part of the promotion.
When I took the phone out and held it, the edges felt very comfortable.
It came with a factory film, and the quality was good, fitting perfectly on the curved screen.
I was initially worried about the film, but I didn’t expect it to be pre-applied. That should be considered an extra service. Since it was my first vivo phone, I’m not sure if other models come with the same.
From this angle, you can see the four rounded corners are very smooth.
The dual camera design has the main lens slightly raised.
The primary and secondary cameras and flash are aligned vertically, giving a slight gradient effect.
The thickness is 8.25 mm, and the weight is 178 g.
Though not super thin or light, it's within acceptable limits.
Inside the box, I also found a back shell and two of them.
One is a black matte back shell with a soft feel and a pale gray vivo logo. The other is a transparent silicone case.
The transparent case is light, but I know it will turn yellow over time. So I decided to go with the black one.
The official accessories fit well. I just want to say that the film is well-attached, and the kit is well-equipped. They really gave me a good impression.
Even though I think it's good, I don’t have to brag about it.
If disconnected:
The first feeling is that the visual effects of the quad curved screen are really good. At first glance, it gives a fresh feeling.
The edges are very rounded and comfortable to touch.
The screen color saturation is high, and at first glance, it looks like a heavy tone. This depends on personal preference.

Let’s take a look at the attachments:
The battery capacity of vivoxplay6 is 4080 mAh. Although it supports 9V/2A fast charging, the interface is still the old micro USB. A Type-C would have been better.
The included headphones allow you to enjoy music freely. If you're into high-end HIFI, you might need to upgrade.
**Giveaways:**
This order surprised me with a lot of gifts. I thought they wouldn’t send anything, but the phone itself was already a good value.
The key is that some of the gifts were quite strange. Let’s take a look together:
An iQiyi kiwifruit with a month of VIP membership. Not useful for me, maybe I'll return it.
A 5000 mAh Scud mobile power for vivo. The size and capacity are a bit underwhelming.
A selfie stick, which was optional.

Hmmm… what should I do? Honestly, it's good to work. I bought xplay6 and got an x20 stand-up card to “light up my beauty.â€
**Use Experience:**
The boot experience is conventional. Fingerprint unlock works smoothly, and it takes just a second. The main button is in the middle.
The UI design feels very similar to iOS, with a flat and simple style.
The icon design is also similar, so if you’re used to iOS, you’ll feel more familiar with the visuals.
The screen is the highlight of the design: 5.46 inches, 2560 × 1440 2K curved screen, using Super AMOLED technology from Samsung.
At first glance, I didn’t notice the 2K resolution, and the details didn’t seem right. Later, when I checked the configuration, I found that there are both Full HD and 2K options.
It’s unclear why the average user would choose 2K, but the experience is different. I later thought that this might be designed to save power when the battery is low.
Another advantage of the curved screen is that it feels comfortable when swiping from the side to the center.
The system includes a practical curved edge function:
Looking at the bottom of the screen, there’s a white bar. When you swipe, the app selection screen appears.
This feature cannot be captured in screenshots. Everyone knows you can add frequently used apps to it. The thumb glides smoothly along the curved screen to open it.
It feels more comfortable than the traditional pull-up menu.
I then tried the HiFi playback mode. I first listened to some lossless tracks.
Although I’m not sure if it’s truly lossless, it sounds much better in HiFi mode.
Vivoxplay6 has three OPA1622 op amps, and the sound quality is indeed impressive.
Also, the HiFi function needs to be enabled in settings. This is important to note, and it only works when using headphones.
The mobile KTV function has also been optimized for the K song app. The low-latency earback makes the sound match the beat better. Before recording, you should adjust the sound position, as it often feels a bit slow.
**About the Lens Effect:**
Front camera: 16 million pixels, f/2.0 aperture.
Rear cameras: 5 million and 12 million pixels respectively.
Support modes: Auto Focus, Image Stabilization, Beauty, Continuous Shooting, Macro, Panorama, Scene Mode, HDR.
After getting the phone, I went out and took some photos. The rear camera performed well.
Resolution and color reproduction were almost as expected.

Color reproduction is more accurate, but I should mention that the screen color is a bit overdone. The red in the photo below is closer to reality.
However, after looking at the screen, the saturation feels about 2 degrees higher. The iPhone 7’s screen is obviously lighter.
But as I said before, color preference is subjective—like radishes and greens, depending on taste.
Here are some proofs:
On the camera: the dual-camera blur effect isn’t particularly good. The edge processing isn’t very refined, and it's just at a playable level.
**To Sum Up:**
Finally, to summarize my experience these days:
**Advantages:**
1. The four curved screens are amazing, offering a great visual and tactile experience.
2. 6GB RAM + 128GB storage runs smoothly, with no lag.
3. The HIFI performance is outstanding—this is at least worth 1000.
**Disadvantages:**
1. The Snapdragon 820 is a bit outdated; a better chip would have been better.
2. The lack of a Type-C port feels a bit old-fashioned.
3. No NFC support.
Overall, the phone feels great to use, with no obvious weaknesses and a very smooth experience.
Although I usually don’t buy older models, the price under 3000 feels like a great value.
